What is this all about?

Welcome to The Pinenut Project! The members of The Pinenut Project are just me. Like you, I was scared of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In March 2025, I attended several seminars which discussed the future of AI. What I determined was, yes, it is scary and yes, I don’t want AI to take over the world. But I also determined AI was here to stay and I could either get on board or let it totally overwhelm me. I had business meetings recorded and automatically transcribed with bullet points and summaries and amazingly it was 99%+ accurate. This was cool and had value. So, I have loved music since the 70s. I played Bass Guitar in a band in high school and still dink around with the bass 50 years later. It doesn’t matter if it is classical, classic rock, or country, I love it all. I found an AI music app and signed up. My first song that I “created” was WHISPERS OF THE STREAM. I actually liked it. That same night, I saw a Facebook post that was a 45 second clip of Joe Walsh (one of the greatest guitarists from the greatest rock band ever, The Eagles) who was talking about how life is all screwed up, but we don’t need to worry about everything, because in the end it typically works out okay. I took his words transcribed from the video and put them in the app. I told the app what kind of genre I wanted and out came LIFE IN ANARCHY. I absolutely loved the words and the music composition. First try = Success! From then, in my typical style, I went crazy! I created more songs, both rock and country, a classical piece and some other instrumentals. Most of them came out great. Some of them were awful! I wanted to know how a person gets them on the streaming apps like Spotify and Apple Music. Then I wanted to know how CDs were made. I learned a lot, believe it or not, about music production and distribution. And, I have far more respect for all of those in the “regular” music business and I hope that AI will never replace seeing your favorite band up on stage belting out their anthems. This is what I have done, so far: LIFE IN ANARCHY – A single song that is available on streaming services as well as in a promotional CD. On the CD, I have the small audio clip of Joe Walsh’s interview that inspired the whole thing. A music video is now available on YouTube and Apple Music! Listen to Life After That…wow! THE FIRST PROJECT - LIFE IN ANARCHY – This is a CD that includes the single LIFE IN ANARCHY, as well as eight other songs, all rock-inspired music. A second single was released to streaming called STRONGER, TOGETHER that was written the day of the No Kings Protests. All nine songs are available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Instagram, and Amazon Music. THE SECOND PROJECT – GREAT TIMES, GREAT LIFE – This CD is loosely country-based but includes a few surprises. A bonus track, THE PINE NUT MUSTANGS, was released and dedicated to the Pine Nut Wild Horse Advocate group on Facebook. A second single from the album, My Half Ton Chevy, was found good enough to be placed on a curated Spotify playlist. THE THIRD PROJECT – I SING FOR THE PEOPLE – This is part rock, part folk/country, and part everything else. A couple of rock songs (I Sing for the People is inspired by Joe Walsh of the Eagles just like Life of Anarchy), a few country songs (Down by the River's Dock is awesome), even a pop song (All the Signs). The ballad Chasing Gold in 1852 is based on a story about a miner in the California Gold Rush dealing with a family back home, a love at the local saloon, and the perilous effects of drinking himself to death. Watch the music video! Driving My 'Rango (my favorite vehicle) is a trip through central Nevada from the driver's perspective....it too is available as a music video...surreal but you may feel like you are actually driving.
I think this is pretty good music. A little of it is cheesy I admit, but remember that all of these songs came from a thought in my head. I either provided most of the words and phrases, or at least the concepts that I wanted in the song. I then picked the best of the variations that the app created to have it be the final version for release then did some mixing processes to get it to sound exactly like I wanted it. I’ve got almost 7,000 streams on the various services (and most of them are not mine! Haha!). If you have something like SIRI, ALEXA or Apple Car play, just say “Play the Pine Nut Project on Spotify “(or your favorite music provider) and you can hear them on-line. I have CDs available if you like your music that way…I know that CDs are rapidly declining in favor of on-line music. But I like my CD and vinyl collection and on-line will never replace them. In addition, I started an LLC called Job’s Peak Publishing House to add some legitimacy to this whole process. Job’s Peak is the mountain that towers above where I live. Don't forget to watch the music videos!!!
And now, others in the evolving music business are reaching out to me to get help getting their songs produced and distributed. How cool is that?! I really hope you take the time to listen to The Pine Nut Project. I have had a super time putting this all together, and I hope you derive some level of enjoyment! /s/ Brent www.jobspeakmusic.com info@jobspeakmusic.com
